Leotards, Leotards, Leotards!!

So, a funny thing happened last week. I made a leotard for my daughter and posted it to Facebook and it was a big hit. Friends started wanting to place orders for their children. One after another I started taking orders for leos, until 8 days after I made my first leotard I had already sold 22 of them. I am having so much fun making them and I have so many ideas. I told my husband right after I made my first leo that I knew I just started making them a couple of days ago, but my goal was to be the #1 leotard designer in the world. So far, the feedback has been great, and I have many more orders on the way. This is going to include DESIGNING and making a set of leos for a gymnastics team to wear to NATIONALS!!!

Interesting how this all has transpired, and I think I may have found my niche. I give all glory to God for teaching me these skills, and then placing me in times and places for my talents to be realized. Here are some of my leos I have made and listed in my shop this past week!! Of course modeled by my little gymnast daughters!

Ruffles and More Ruffles!!

I am having fun getting my sewing room set up, and I am working on many many projects. On top of homeschooling and commuting my little ones to various activities, I have been busy making ruffle skirts. My ultimate goal is to have several ready made skirts available to purchase in my store of various prints and patterns, but for now I am fulfilling orders for friends. I have a huge HUGE selection of fabrics that I am making all of the pieces with. Here is what I have come up so far.

Back After Over a Year Break!!

Well hello there blog readers. What a year it has been since I last updated this blog!! The last time I wrote was October 2013. Since that time I had a new baby!!! Yes, that is baby #6!! We also packed up our family and moved to CT for six months living in an RV for that time. That was an adventure in itself! Now we are settled into our new location of Virginia Beach for the next year or so.  I have JUST set up my sewing room and am getting my shop back in motion.

During the course of the last year I have been listing a few crochet items here and there, so I will be featuring those on the blog for the next couple of days. Today I am showing the new Rainbow baby star blanket that I am modeling with my new baby boy #6. Someone shared a picture of this pattern and I thought I need to make that now!! Click on the picture and it will take you to the listing in my shop to purchase.

This can be used as a blanket or worn over a sling and buttoned in the back.
