How I deal with Stress.

Okay we all have stress to different degrees, and stress can be a good thing, as long as it is in balance. A lot of people ask me how I do what I do. Being a Navy wife on a deserted island, having four babies in four years, homeschooling them, working from home selling clothing that I make. All pretty much alone, while maintaining my sanity, home, and health.

Here is my secret.....I do as the scripture says, and I seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

My life could easily fall apart, it is very complex, and I am sure yours is well. When I am overwhelmed, I go to my prayer closet, and pray and ask the Lord to order my steps, and make my way straight. I don't claim negative things on my children.  When I see a character trait that is not good in them instead of speaking it, I keep my mouth shut and pray, until I see it no more. My children are blessings to me because I have spent many, many, many hours praying for them.

To be transparent,  I would say the biggest challenge for me everyday is to keep my head on straight, or in other words, staying productive and cheerful rather than sulky and self destructive. With homeschooling I feel that if I put scripture memorization above all else, the Lord will honor that, and bless my children with a well rounded education.

I use the scripture to transform my mind. For example, I think I had the boldness to step out in starting my own business as a result of Psalm 1. In Psalm 1 the Lord promises that we will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that yields it's fruit in season, and whatever we do shall prosper. When I was attacked with doubt about my ability, I would remember God says WHATEVER I do shall prosper, and that included my business.

I hope that was encouragement to you
Blessings.
